This is an exciting time to join SELDOC, the Operations Manager - Acute and Palliative Care Services is responsible for providing the management of all aspects of the service delivery for our St Thomas and Guys and @Home Palliative care contracts to ensure the achievement of agreed targets, quality standards, controls and locality objectives - within an efficient, safe and effective environment
This role will be predominately supporting world-renowned St Thomas’ and Guys Hospital in Central London, there will be a requirement for some regular travel across the SELDOC service areas. There will also be an opportunity for some home working as part of this role.
This is a fast-paced and demanding role, within a variety of Services where you will need to be able to hit the ground running but successfully lead a team where exceeding patient and customer expectations is paramount. You will be responsible for ensuring the resources meet key clinical and operational performance targets.
The Operations Manager - Acute and Palliative Care Services needs to deliver high quality, customer/patient-focused results for our Services and seek to drive forward continuous improvement to ultimately improve the service offering SELDOC provides to our Service partners, patients, and the community.
What we need…
SELDOC requires a leading and experienced Operations Manager with a blend of skills and experience, essentially within the health care/service provider, this is someone who can drive the operational function and provide measurable and meaningful results, as well as being hands-on practical in supporting their team.
It can be a difficult task to balance best practices with commercial pressures and you will need to be able to demonstrate experience of managing a team and the positive effect this has had on service delivery.
Areas of responsibility will include; operational control and performance, rota support, leadership, change and service improvement, financial management, ensuring quality risk and governance are adhered to and relationship development with our partners. This role is to support the Directors in SELDOC as well as the Senior General Manager, working very closely with partner Services.
Salary is £42, 000

This includes Integrated Urgent Care Servies, Clinical Assessment Services, Home Visiting services, Holistic care services, Geriatric Medicine, Virtual Assessment Services and resources in GP hubs and Urgent Care Centres.
SELDOC was established in 1996 as a GP Co-operative to provide out-of-hours primary care to patients across southeast London. Over the last 25 years we have grown significantly and have formed strong relationships with other local partners and now provide services for 2 million patients.
