Secondary Care Support Services
We have worked in South East Hospitals since 2011 and South West London for over 10 years, supporting secondary care services to reduce the pressure on A&E by delivering on-site primary care. Working with a number of hospital trusts across both areas, we serve a population of around 2 million people.
Our services are designed to support secondary care to reduce the pressure on A&E departments. By delivering on-site primary care and having a GP within accident and emergency, this means that those patients whose symptoms can be dealt with by a GP can be seen quickly, given either medicine or a prescription, or sent for further follow up within the hospital, and do not add to the waiting time for the department. We work with a number of hospital trusts across both areas and serve a population of around 2 million people.
Our services are delivered face to face as well as through remote consultations – especially in the wake of COVID-19. We deliver care against agreed service levels and we have worked hard to support our secondary care partners in achieving their goals and targets. Our focus has and always will be to ensure we provide effective and safe urgent care for our partners emergency patients.
