Helping you find the information you need

How do I get healthcare help when my GP is closed?

In an emergency, dial 999 for all other cases dial 111

We provide out-of-hours primary care 6.30pm – 8.00am weekdays and 24 hours at weekends and bank holidays. We operate in the following London boroughs, Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Wandsworth, Merton and Sutton.

Our team of duty clinicians include local GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Pharmacists. If necessary and appropriate, a home visit will be organised. We will try our very best to help you, but as an urgent out-of-hours primary care service, we do not have direct access to blood tests or scans just yet.

Also, it’s worth noting that we do not always have access to your GP’s medical record.

Who do I call?

For an urgent medical problem:
Visit 111.nhs.uk (for people aged 5 and over), call 111 if you need urgent help for a child under 5 or you cannot get help online.

Call 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk when:
you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency
you think you need to go to A&E or need another NHS urgent care service
you don’t know who to call or you don’t have a GP to call
you need health information or reassurance about what to do next
For less urgent health needs, contact your GP or local pharmacist in the usual way.

If a health professional has given you a specific phone number to call when you are concerned about your condition, continue to use that number.

For urgent dental treatment:
Call your dentist or go to 111.nhs.uk if you cannot contact your dentist or you do not have one.

If your condition is potentially life-threatening, call 999 or go to your nearest A&E.
