In May 2020, Tim Hebditch was appointed Director of Operations for SELDOC Healthcare. With a background of working in both private healthcare and the NHS, Tim brought a wealth of experience to the Operations Team, who are collectively responsible for service delivery across the organization.
There were many synergies between SELDOC’s vision and Tim’s own. “My focus is on delivering outstanding patient care, helping colleagues to do their best, and continually improving the service. The organization has a solid reputation and is going through some really exciting changes. To me, the role was a natural fit”.

Since Tim joined SELDOC, service delivery has remained strong with delivered outcomes ‘green across the board’. However, joining in the middle of an international pandemic has proved challenging. SELDOC is an agile and responsive organization that acts quickly and effectively to changing stakeholder needs. With robust clinical governance in place and an experienced team they were able to run a large-scale service with a small team –ramping up or down, as and when required.

Tim’s first task was to implement an intense program of learning and shadowing to understand the business better. This led to him changing the shape of the Operations Team. This new team has delivered many projects including a site move from Dulwich Hospital to Tessa Jowell Health Centre.

Alongside IT and Clinical teams, Tim has developed and extended SELDOC’s services with Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital and has developed winter COVID-19 response plans. One major achievement is also piloting a new palliative care service in South East London, as well as improving patient care and building relationships with new and existing partner organizations.

Tim explained: “Patient care is at the heart of everything that SELDOC does. This passion is felt from the ground up and the people I work with day in, day out go the extra mile to make sure we do everything we can to keep improving our service”.
