February 2025 News Update
Exciting Updates on Our Expanding Services
We are pleased to share some significant developments in our services, aimed at enhancing patient care and improving access across our network.
Fiveways PCN – A Successful Start
On 3rd January 2025, we launched enhanced access GP services with Fiveways Primary Care Network (PCN), providing both onsite and remote GP services to support a group of five practices. This initiative is focused on ensuring patients receive timely and effective care. We are delighted to report that this has been a very successful service, positively impacting both patients and practices alike.
Lambeth Base – Strengthening Out-of-Hours Coverage
On 1st March 2025, we officially opened our Lambeth Base at The Exchange Practice. This expansion means that our SEL Out-of-Hours (OOH) service now has a dedicated base in each borough—joining Tessa Jowell Health Centre (Southwark) and St John’s Medical Centre (Lewisham). This marks a major step forward in improving patient access during the out-of-hours period. The first day of operations ran smoothly, and we look forward to delivering continued high-quality care from this location.
St George’s ED Service – A New Resource for Emergency Care
Launching on 3rd March 2025, our new St George’s Emergency Department (ED) service will provide additional support by allowing ED staff to refer suitable patients for GP-led care onsite. Running alongside our existing South West London (SWL) OOH base at St George’s Hospital, this initiative will initially be trialled throughout March. Our aim is to relieve ED pressure while ensuring patients receive appropriate care in a timely manner.
Well done to all those involved to make this possible - thank you for your continued support!
A Mock CQC was carried out recently for Tessa Jowell and Hanover House and we maintained at GOOD Rating:
Areas of good practice: A strong patient-first ethos, clear company values and strategy, safe medicine management with external oversight, strategic recruitment, staff recognition, responsive palliative care, collaboration with the local trust for paediatric care, and a growth mindset.
Areas for improvement: there were a couple of areas for improvement to which the team will be working on those in the coming weeks. Well Done to all those involved.it.
