Quality Manager Full time 37.5 hours per week

Fixed term maternity cover from July 2018 (6-12 months) with the possibility of a permanent position.

Salary £33,000 – £39,000 pa depending on experience. More for an exceptional candidate.

Based in Norbiton KT2 7AZ

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinician to join SELDOC’s Clinical Governance team as a Quality Manager within a friendly and growing organisation.

You will be an integral part of our team that will allow us to deliver excellence. You will lead on patient engagement, complaints handling, incident management and a number of important processes required to improve our quality systems. You will work closely with the Group Medical Director, Deputy Medical Director and Lead Pharmacist and will be directly responsible for the line management of nursing staff within the organisation.

You will build relationships with patients, staff, including senior managers and clinicians, patient groups, health watch groups, other key stakeholders and healthcare providers. This post would ideally suit a Clinician (for example a Nurse or a Paramedic) at the equivalent NHS band 7 or above, however, other applicants will be considered.

Key Criteria:

The successful candidate must have:

  • been educated to degree level or equivalent
  • be a qualified Clinician (preferably at the NHS equivalent of band 7 or above but others Clinicians will be considered)
  • advanced Excel skills
  • an excellent verbal communication and telephone manner
  • the ability to prioritise workload and to work to strict deadlines
  • significant and proven experience of patient engagement and complaints handling with the ability to demonstrate a thorough and tested knowledge of the requisite legislation

SELDOC is a GP co-operative operating in South London for over 20 years, providing unscheduled and non-urgent community services to local patient populations.

SELDOC is one of last remaining out of hours’ services owned and run by GP Practice Members in a Cooperative model. This business model ensures local ownership and engagement from GP Practice Members in line with government strategy for managing the demands of unscheduled care.

SELDOC hold a number of other Primary Care led contracts in Urgent Care Centres, walk-in centres, Home Ward and out of hour’s services in South West London.
