Deputy Medical Director
Fixed-Term initially for 6 months
Part-time 24 hours per week (3 days)
Based in Norbiton KT2 7AZ
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Governance & Quality team within a friendly growing organisation as the Deputy Medical Director (South East London) This role is initially for a 6 month period with the view to becoming a permanent role. Based at our head office in Norbiton you will be required to regularly travel to our bases in South East London such as Dulwich, Lewisham and Guys Hospital. We would also expect you to undertake regular GP OOH/ urgent care sessions within the service (paid in addition to the DMD salary at the advertised sessional rate).
SELDOC is a GP cooperative who provide urgent primary care services such as GP out-of-hours and urgent care centres in South East & South West London. We are patient focused and aim to achieve excellence in the quality of care we provide to our population.
You will work closely with the Group Medical director, Quality Manager, Pharmacist and the Deputy Medical Director (South West London) providing clinical leadership to the organisation. You will lead on quality audit, recruitment, induction and training of doctors and GP registrars. Line managing doctors, provide clinical expertise in complaints & incident management including writing SI reports and attending coroner’s inquests. You will lead on a number of important processes required to improve our clinical governance systems.
You will also work closely with the, Operations Directorate, to help to deliver a high-quality service. You will build relationships with patients, staff, including senior managers and clinicians, healthcare providers and other key stakeholders such as commissioners, the CQC and NHS England.
This job is ideal for a GP who already works within the service in South East London and who wants to develop their career.
