Patient & Public Involvement

“It’s nice to see SELDOC involved in patient events, we hope they do more.”

Patient feedback

SELDOC’s Clinical Governance Team constantly evaluate feedback on patient experience so we can continue to improve our patients’ experience.

Experience-based co-design (EBD) is gaining increasing support in the healthcare sector as a method of involving patients as active partners and co-producers in their own care. We strongly believe that interaction is the key to the future success of our service and hold regular events and conduct focus groups and patient surveys. As part of our commitment to public engagement, we hold public board meetings once a year, enabling the community to engage with our team.

Equality & diversity

The SELDOC team is a true reflection of the communities we serve and actively promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. It is no coincidence that a recent Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) report demonstrated that SELDOC fulfilled the expectation that the Board was ‘broadly representative of the population they serve’ with a 50/50 split between white and black and minority ethnic members.
